If you’re visiting Leicester with the family, then Mercure Leicester The Grand Hotel offers the perfect place to act as a base for your break away. For Sunny days, Abbey Park hugging the banks of River Soar in the North offers the perfect space for a picnic. The park has a choice of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Boating lake in the middle, surrounded by a bowling green, 5 tennis courts, orienteering course, a lavender maze and ping table tennis tables.

With its own Golden Mile (Belgrave Road), this is the beating heart of Leicester Asian Community. The road itself is an ancient Roman road linking Leicester to Lincoln.
