Visit Leicester – the home of Premier League Champions Leicester City

Our great city of Leicester really enjoyed the sporting spotlight in 2016 thanks to a historic Premier League football win. Needless to say Mercure Leicester The Grand Hotel was proud to be at the centre of the celebrations.

In one of the greatest stories of football the world has ever seen, Claudio Ranieri’s humble Leicester City FC won the 2015/16 Premier League for the first time in their history, having enjoyed a modest 14th place in the preceding season. With a strong teamwork belief and recognition of strength in diversity, Leicester City FC mirrors the ethos of Leicester itself – a cosmopolitan metropolis evolved from a medieval hub, based on the Rover Soar and surrounded by the picturesque Leicestershire countryside.

We can’t promise these levels of excitement all the time, but we guarantee you’ll love our sumptuous and stylish hotel and hospitality.
